Robeson Elementary Center participated in two events during the month of February, so students and families could give back to our local community in a fun way. Students participated in the first annual REC Souper Bowl! Students were asked to bring in canned goods to donate to Honeybrook Food Pantry and place them on the table in the lobby for the team they were cheering for to win the Super Bowl! Updates were sent with pictures of the table as we approached the deadline for donations. In the end, we came together as a school to donate 294 canned items to this amazing organization that helps so many people in our local community! The Seattle Seahawks were the overwhelming choice of the students and the Seahawks were crowned the 2026 Super Bowl Champions!
The Kids Heart Challenge was another amazing event to raise money for the American Heart Association and bring awareness to the students about how important it is to have a healthy heart! During the month of February, students in PE class focused on how our heart works and strategies to keep our hearts healthy. On February 13th, each grade level celebrated their efforts and spent 40 minutes being active and keeping their heart healthy in the gym. It was an exciting day of music, jumping, and a lot of tired kids at the end. Thank you to Mrs. Kling who organized the event and to all the staff members who jumped in to turn the ropes and cheer on the students. Robeson Elementary Center raised a total of $9,172.23 for the American Heart Association. Fantastic job REC Team!!!!!!
