On January 9th, the students and staff at Robeson Elementary Center held their annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Parade and Breakfast. We are so fortunate to have a wonderful relationship with the Robeson Township Police Department and the students and staff enjoy celebrating them each year with a parade and making pictures and letters to give to the officers. This year, we included a 4th grade essay and poster contest with the winners being able to march in the parade and enjoy breakfast with the visiting officers.
The officers are often seen greeting students in the morning at car drop off and saying goodbye to students as they board the buses at the end of the day. This positive presence helps our students know that they are safe at school and understand that our Robeson Police Department is a valued member of our REC team.
During the month of January, our school began a new tradition called Hero Lunch. Each month, officers arrive at school to enjoy lunch with each grade level. Seeing the officers with a school lunch tray and surrounded by smiling students shows the strong bond that has been developed between the Robeson Police Department and our school. Thank you Robeson Police Department for always being there for our students and staff!
