Hello REC Families!
The building floors are sparkling, classrooms are being decorated, and it's almost time to open the doors and welcome everyone back. Please join us for REC Back to School Night on Thursday, August 21st. This is a time for students and families to meet new teachers, see the classroom, be informed about grade level programs and procedures, and see some old and new friends. Doors will open at 4:50pm for Kindergarten Students and Families to report to the Cafeteria for a Welcome Message and Procedures for the Evening from 5:00-5:15. Parents/Guardians will then report to the Kindergarten classrooms for teacher presentations and students will enjoy a Bus Ride, a musical activity, and a movement activity with our related arts teachers from 5:15-5:45pm. Students will be reunited with families in the Kindergarten classrooms at 5:45pm so they can explore their new classroom. Families and students are free to visit the informational tables in the lobby or ask questions to our staff for the remainder of the session 5:45-7:00pm. If any family has required registration documents to hand in, please see our school nurse, Erin George, at the informational table in the lobby.
If you have a student in Grades 1 - 4, there will be three opportunities to visit classrooms and hear teacher presentations beginning at 6:00pm. Students and families will report directly to their child’s homeroom teacher’s classroom. If you have multiple children attending REC, an announcement will be made when each of the three presentation sessions are over.
First Session is from 6:00-6:35pm
Second Session is from 6:40-7:10pm
Third Session is from 7:15-7:45pm
Families and students are free to visit the informational tables in the lobby or ask questions to our staff throughout the evening from 6:00-8:00pm. If any family has required registration documents or updated documents of any kind to hand in, please see our school nurse, Erin George, at the informational table in the lobby.
