Each year, the Grad Walk stands as a meaningful tradition in our school community. Graduating seniors return to the Elementary Centers, retracing their early steps and reflecting on their journey. Younger students look ahead with inspiration, while teachers reconnect with former students and witness the impact of their work. As graduates walk the halls, revisit playgrounds, and reconnect with familiar faces, they celebrate both where they started and how far they’ve come - ready to take the next step forward. Congratulations to the Class of 2025!

Twin Valley Middle School 5th grade students took a step back in time on today, as they wrapped up a year of studying early American history with a truly memorable experience. The school welcomed guest speaker Mr. Jim Moore for a special assembly, where students had the rare opportunity to interact with authentic artifacts from the Revolutionary War. Mr. Moore, a Chester County resident, captivated students with the story of how he unearthed four Revolutionary War cannons at the Thomas P Bentley Nature Preserve. During the assembly, students were able to see one of the cannons up close, ask questions, and even examine its size and weight firsthand. The assembly served as a powerful culmination of the year’s learning, helping to bridge classroom lessons with real-world history and leaving students inspired by the legacy of the nation’s beginnings. #FeatureFriday: Mrs. Joli Mattia’s 5th-grade science class at Twin Valley Middle School had a stellar space unit, one that reached all the way to the International Space Station. During parent-teacher conferences, Mrs. Mattia learned that one of her students’ families has a personal connection to NASA astronaut Sunita “Suni” Williams. At the time, Sunita was orbiting 250 miles above Earth aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Her mission was originally scheduled to last just eight days; however, due to safety issues with the spacecraft, she ended up spending nine months in space. Things took an exciting turn when Mrs. Mattia’s class created a video message wishing Sunita and fellow astronaut Butch Wilmore a safe return. With help from NASA and the Alexander family, the message was sent directly to the ISS. This moment sparked what would become an extraordinary classroom experience. Throughout her extended stay, Sunita shared emails, photos, and videos from space, offering students a firsthand look into astronaut life. This unforgettable experience brought science to life for our 5th graders, igniting a passion for exploration, curiosity, and real-world connection. A sincere thank-you to the Alexander family, Mrs. Mattia, and, of course, astronaut Sunita Williams for helping our students reach for the stars and realize they just might reach them!

Happy Earth Day, Twin Valley! There are so many ways, both big and small, to make a positive impact on our planet, and our students are leading by example. At Robeson Elementary Center, first grade students recently took part in a thoughtful and fun “spring cleaning” project. They brought in books from home that they no longer read, and for each book donated, they received a Book Buck to “purchase” a different book brought in by a fellow student. This creative book exchange not only promoted a love for reading but also highlighted the importance of reusing and recycling - a perfect way to honor Earth Day! How will you make a difference today?
